EdMoney.org will document spending of ARRA funds in states, school districts and schools. It is a project of the Education Writers Association and its members and colleagues, ably assisted by Matt Waite and Chase Davis of HotType Consulting. The project is led by Mc Nelly Torres, Lori Crouch and Nirvi Shah. The project emerged from ideas developed by Kent Fischer, while at the Dallas Morning News and is supported by a two year grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. We will code stories and tips by state, school district and schools to help reporters and their communities understand how these funds are being spent.
